Women in control
Chinese tourism authorities in Bejing are seeking investment to build a novel concept attraction -- the world's first "women's town," where men get punished for disobedience.
"Traditional women dominate and men have to be obedient in the areas of Sichuan province and Chongqing, and now we are using it as an idea to attract tourists and boost tourism," said official Li.
The municipal motto, which will be emblazoned on a gate leading into the town, is "Women are never wrong and men can never refuse women's requests". If men don't obey their wives' or girlfriends' orders, and satisfy their every whim, they can expect to cower as punishment without mercy is meted out.
Judges in special courts will order male tourists to be whipped if they fail to fulfil their partner's wishes for chocolate, or perfume, or anything at all.
When tour groups enter the town, female tourists would play the dominant role when shopping or choosing a place to stay, and a disobedient man would be punished by "kneeling on an uneven board" or washing dishes in a local restaurant, media reports said.
The project, begun in the end of 2005, was expected to take three to five years to finish.
The reaction of the Chinese media to the news anal sex magazines of the town has been overwhelmingly positive, as traditionally downtrodden Chinese women, one eighth of the world's population, make another great step forward in their overwhelmingly male dominated society
